The rods are superb quality, will go in any style room. And shipping was super fast:
UPS truck showed up less than 24 hrs after I placed my order!!! (We live on the East Coast, but still…)

One comment: I ordered several rods, and made a mistake of marking up the walls using the same hook. When I actually hung the first rod, I discovered that the hooks were all different, so the rod wasn’t hanging straight. Easy to fix, but for those of you who consider buying: make sure to mark up the walls for each individual hook (should have thought of it: they ARE hand made and can’t be all the same!)

Apart from a slight delay in hanging, I love them, and will order more for another room.

Okay, I admit, I almost hate to tell you how much we love these iron rods because I’m afraid their Amish crafters won’t be able to keep up with the demand. Talk about solid! Talk about beautiful! Talk about practical and simple & elegantly so!! We have hemstitch & linen & pinstripe curtains & roman shades hanging from them – all enhanced by these black beauties. These would make William Morris proud!

I purchased two rods and two tie-backs. They are perfect, made in the USA and inexpensive. One of the best purchases I’ve made in the last year.

I hate hanging up curtains. To me, it is the worst job a woman has to do. I hate it with a passion. I expected headache and turmoil when I purchased this but it’s a necessary evil if you want to keep a nice home. So, I got them to go with my wrought iron motif I have going on in my bathroom.
OMG! They were so simple to put up. I almost died. All you have to do is screw in the two hooks which equates to 4 screws. And they’re not difficult screws either. If you ever hung mini blinds, you know what I mean by difficult screws. Oi!
Anyway, I just screwed up the hooks and plopped the bar with the curtains on top and they look fabulous! I love them.
I plan to get more of these for other rooms. A lot more of them.
Oh, and the icing on the cake is that they’re made in the USA by the Amish. How cool is that? I love Amish people. No wonder this was so simplistic.

You can’t beat these curtain rods at any price, I think. The quality is excellent, and they look terrific. I bought them to use in a “Mexican ranch” themed bedroom, but they would work with many other looks–Italian, western, whatever. They are extremely sturdy, too. I have heavy vintage serapes draped over them. Would I buy them again? YES!

These are great brackets. I had been searching a while for some nice sturdy, yet decorative, brackets that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg and wouldn’t be overly designed. Other brackets that I’ve seen have either no style (the basic, somewhat flimsy type that you get from DIY home stores), or there was a bit too much style (the art deco type with lots of swirls and loops). These are basic yet still have a lot of style. What you see is what you get. They also have a nice heft to them. They are in no way flimsy. I would defy anyone to try to bend one of these things with their bare hands. I used mine to create shelving for videos and DVDs; however, with proper mounting these could easily take on the heaviest books. These are a great find. A great price for a quality product.

I bought several solid wood shelves from Ikea and wanted some brackets to achieve a sort of french country look for my kitchen. These were perfect; they definitely look more expensive than they were.

My bracket came in the mail and was impressive to look at.

I had two problems getting it installed and operational; the first problem, which I encountered before I mounted it, was a burr inside which kept the flag pole from sliding all the way in. That was solved by using a file to file the burr down so the flag pole could go all the way in.

The second problem was with the screws provided with the bracket; they had a slotted head that was so shallow that no screw driver that I had would turn them. I replaced those screws with some better quality phillps head screws and got the bracket mounted successfully.

It is important to note that the two top screw holes are not even; the right screw hole is higher that the left one so using a level on the screw holes won’t work. I leveled the bracket by eye and it came out just fine.

I agree with the other reviews here. I get a lot of wind at times and two plastic flag holders had failed on me. This one is going to be fine- it’s very solid.
