i got this flat iron not know much about straignters and i hated it!!! it doesnt even get your hair straight. it will only work if you have really thin and straight hair. but it takes 15 minutes to heat up then once you use it for 5 minutes you have to wait for it to heat up again. now im think about getting a FHI.

Is the Fahrenheit Titanium Heat Wave Flat Iron a good flat iron?
Me and my sister were planning on buying iron Heat this Fahrenheit Titanium Heat Wave Flat Iron. I’ve researched about it and all, but I just wanted some confirmation from other people that it is a good hair straightener. Can someone tell me? Thank you.

I had an original Revlon RV057 and it lasted for more than 3 years. It got so rusty I decided it was time to get another one I did. It lasted less than 6 months I liked the way it worked but I going to try another brand maybe it’ll last longer.

From reading all the other reviews, I thought this would be the best deal for a straightner/curling iron in one. The curling iron works great, and if you are looking for a curling iron I would recommend a Revlon. However, the straightner did not work on my hair at all. My hair is almost naturally straight just with a little wave here and there, and it couldnt even straighten out the little waves. I had to turn mine up to the highest temperature, and then the outside of the barrel was the only part that really got hot. When you clamp the straightner together the plates do not touch. You have to squeeze the black part on the end really hard to make it actually touch your hair, and if you do that little pieces of your hair get snagged on the plate and pulled out. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

When I bought it I liked it. It curls great and the straightening was not too bad. You had to hold the end tight to get a good straight but it worked. Then I noticed it was pulling my hair through the sides…ouch! Then eventually the spring broke inside and it would not pop open like it should which made it very difficult to straighten. Needless to say it is in the garbage now. I wish I could find one just like this that did not pull my hair and break, at a reasonable cost. The CHI version of this is around $130.00.

I just bought my second one of these Revlon curling/straightener irons. The first one lasted several years, even having been beaten up a bit by traveling. It did take some getting used to using the straightener part, but not long and it does an amazing job on my thick hair. It heats up fast, works beautifully on my hair, and is easy to handle. I love the convenience of heating up one iron and having both options.

I ordered this defuser because we had been given unglazed cookware as a gift. We have a gas stove and defuser works beautifully with everything. Sauces cook without burning pots and it is possible to keep items warm with stove set to extra low. Needless to say the diffuser is perfect for clay cookware cooking.

We bought this heat diffuser to go with our Bodum Santos coffee maker, because we have a gas stove. It works very efficiently.

Not sure if it was me or the defuser but after using it for about a 1/2 hour with my tagine the paint bubbled and chipped off. Still worked well. However, don’t like the paint thing. Not sure why it has the paint in the first place.

I’ve had this item for a month now-wish I had bought it long ago! It instantly fixed my problem of not being able to simmer things on my new gas stove because the flame does not go low enough. I have not had any problem with the paint “bubbling up” as on other comments. Great item! Highly recommended!

These don’t last long. My daughter has had to buy three in a year due to failure of the heating elements. Clearly a design flaw.

It is a very poorly made product and does not deliever. The plates are not real ceramic and after a few uses the “ceramic” coating starts to peel off. It does not distribute heat evenly and actually ends up burning your hair. Please do your self a favor and just pay extra money to get a good quality flat iron. I know that the chi might be a little over priced but it works way better than this.

I have about 6 different irons and I really like this one. It’s really easy to handle too. I have very frizzy, wavy hair and by passing it slowly through the shaft of hair, you can get your hair board straight. I also use a heat spray and that makes it even easier. The thermal protection of the spray along with the ceramic plates, gets your hair silky smooth. a very good buy for the money! Heats really fast too! Revlon really does make decent hair products.

I purchased this straightener when I lost my original one moving. BIG MISTAKE. My other one was the exact same size and straightened my hair in less than half the time. This one simply does not get hot enough to straighten my medium length, thick, and wavy hair. My hair isn’t even warm after running the straightener through it. Because of this, I waste so much time! If you have thin or short hair, it might work, but I would still suggest trying a different product.

The dimensions of this mat as stated on the packaging are 19.75 inches by 34 inches. This information wasn’t on the Amazon listing at the time of my purchase, and from the picture I thought it was bigger than that. The iron rest section is HUGE which I guess put the rest of it out of perspective.

Measured dimensions of this mat are 19.75 inches by 25 inches for the ironing section and 12 inches by 8.5 inches for the iron rest. That’s too small for my needs. Also I wasn’t convinced of the mat’s ability to protect the underlying table surface. It wasn’t letting much heat through on my short tests but it was putting through a lot of moisture, even though I was dry-ironing. I’ve decided to return it and buy a proper ironing board.

I bought this Whitmore Ironing Mat along with the SteamFast SF-717 Home-and-Away Mini Steam Iron for my daughter to use in her apt in lieu of an ironing board and full size iron. She loves it! She sets it up on her dryer (with a towel underneath to make pressing easier) and touches up her clothes right out of the dryer. It is very convenient to use and then just folds away. This would work well in a dorm setting as well. I would definitely recommend putting a towel underneath though so it doesn’t wreck the surface you are ironing on.

I use this with the Home-and-Away Mini Steam Iron on my sewing table. I also works great for clothing touch-ups. It is a little too big for my sewing table so I folded it under and pinned it a bit. I can leave this out….I seldom have to drag out my big ironing board. :) A+ product
