wrought-iron-candle-sconces Meaningful guideline on iron Double

My wife got to use a single sandwich pie-iron and thought she’d one-up that one with a double… Well, It does the trick, but is quite heavy. If you have something to rest it on within the fire, it will do the trick. Our handle on one of the sides separated after the first use which makes this a bit challenging to manage. I’m certain it is easy enough to fix if the pin that is supposed to hold it in place comes out, however it is disappointing to have to deal with something poorly put together after the first use. All-in-all, the sandwiches tasted great and my forearms got a good workout but the construction could have been quality checked a bit better.

Which is better, Tama iron cobra double bass pedal, or Gibraltar avenger double bass pedal?
I am not a drummer but my boyfriend is, and he has some really crappy double bass pedals and he’s been talking non-stop about these iron cobra bass pedals. I’ve been saving up to get him these so I could surprise him for his birthday next month. Well he just informed me that he got a drum magazine in the iron Double mail today advertising some Gibraltar avenger double bass pedals that were way cheaper than Tama’s Iron cobra and that Gibraltar was a better name brand anyway.I’m just curious as to which one is better? He said the Gibraltar ones had the kind of beaters he wanted which (I’m guessing) are similar to the iron cobras which is why he figured he could settle for that in the first place. I really want to surprise the hell out of him and get him something of great quality and I’m not afraid to spend three hundred seventy bucks either. Please and thanks!Lol, to my first response. Thanks for the tip hun, but I’ve been with this man for three and a half years and we’re engaged. Lol, I’m not trying to impress him or buy his love/relationship, I really want to get him something nice :)

Maybe it’s becuase i watched the pot, but this thing never got hot enough to boil water. After 20 min I gave up and packed it up to be sent back. Got warm, but not hot enough to cook on. Would be fine to keep coffee warm, but not much else. Very disappointing.

I looked at many burners before settling on this one. Going in, was very nervous as I had little in the way of confidence that something portable and affordable would accomplish what I needed. Suffice it to say, I was INCREDIBLY pleasantly surprised at the quality and efficiency of this product. It heated up amazingly fast and worked as well and quickly as a home stovetop. The omelets that I made were perfect and this product was everything I hoped for and then some!

I purchased this to add to my outdoor kitchen as I needed some additional cook tops.
We use this outside, store it indoors.
It arrived very well packed. Is easy to use and it looks good.
The burnes are a bit slow getting hot, but that is to be expected with the cast iron. However it does a good job.
If you set it up to 5 it shuts itself off when it reaches the appropiate temp. At max it keeps going. We have used it for deep frying, boiling water etc. Pretty much all regular cooking is being done on it.
It runs about 1400 watts I believe, I am running it on a 20 amp circuit and it is fine.
Good product, good price.

i was dissapointed to find that this hotplate takes 10-15 minutes to get hot enough to fry an egg or cook a stew. also disliked that when i first bought it, there was a procedure to follow which involved heating the burners up for 30 min or so to melt off a sealant that comes on there, which smelled toxic.

also, the chrome surrounding the burners gets ot.

I’ve been looking for quite sometime for a Good Quality Waffle maker and finally a Belgian Waffle maker that makes great waffles. The unit is great and clean up isn’t a problem, and the waffles come out great. Now only if i can find some great tasting waffle badder. If anyone knows or can suggest a waffle badder that not only looks great but taste great as well. Thumbs up on this unit.

I bought the WMK600 on April 2010 as a replacement for a VillaWare waffle maker I had used for 4 years. The Waring appeared from the product description to be well made. It had the desirable extra benefit of producing 2 waffles simultaneously. But this waffler was a DISASTER from the beginning! The waffles are inconsistent in texture, the first batch after seasoning the waffle maker invariably sticks to the waffler, the temperature control is erratic and unreliable and the waffles are soggy and, as far as I’m concerned, inedible. I’m not used to this: my VillaWare, which was also a rotating model, was dependable, made delicious waffles with no effort and no errors, produced waffles that were “crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside” (advertised, but not delivered, by the Waring) and was infinitely adjustable using the very accurate browning control. Please bear in mind if you’re considering the Waring that my experience, reported above, is based not just on one or two uses when the waffler was new, but on a dozen or more disastrous attempts at breakfast waffles over more than 3 months. My advice, in case you haven’t guessed: DON’T BUY IT!! I’d return my Waring and purchase another VillaWare in a heartbeat if Amazon’r return policy allowed it.

I bought this item for the sole purpose of deep frying. I used to have a 8″ pot, although deep, it would barely fit two pieces of chicken side-by-side. This dutch oven is perfect, I can fit three pieces of chicken with enough room between them. The heavy lid creates pressure inside the pot, essentially deep fry and pressure cook at the same time, which cooks the meat next to the bone without burning the skin or drying out the chicken.

This product is great for the price. Wonderful versatility. It doesn’t have a “traditional” handle on either pan but I don’t use or feel the the need to have one. 5 quarts is more than enough and the pan is more than fine. I do use a traditional stainless steel lid for the skillet but use the skillet for a lid with the pot all the time. Cast iron is so great, this is the only pot and pan I use. One must learn to cook with these, its a little different but works better and easier in the long run and cleaning is so easy.

This pot is perfect for cooking any number of dishes – from frying on the stove, baking in the oven or cooking on the barbecue. It is heavy, of the best quality and so good I’ll have to designate its future recipent in my will.

Again I found I can trust Amazon that I won’t be disappointed whrn I order something on line.

I have been in the market for a dutch over for some time and have considered many, mostly enamel coated. Of course, they cost more and I can’t see any significant advantages to them – well there is the clean up and the non sticking! But since this dutch oven comes somewhat pre-seasoned, I’ve seen little sticking and I can already see improvements with use. Clean up without dish detergent is not as sterile but that goes with cast iron. I’m sure all that heat takes care of any leftover germs! I do like the flat skillet lid and thought it was great getting 2 for 1, a dutch oven and skillet, especially at the $30 price which is around 1/2 the price I’ve seen for the enamel coated ones. For me it was a great deal and I am enjoying cooking with it. Definitely worth the money. Thanks Lodge!

An excellent acquisition to cook buffalo meat patties on a gas grill. Buffalo with its 3 to 4% fat content falls apart when used the gas grill grids when flipped to cook on the other side. This Lodge cast iron grill allows me to spray PAM on the surface and cook away. It is used on a 22 year old Sunbeam cast iron gas grill.

I am very pleased with this grill. It is very heavy making heat distribution quite even. Cleaning is easy although I would recommend using a scrub brush for cleaning the grill side, no soap.

Great product. We took it on a week long camping trip and cooked fajitas, pancakes, eggs, bacon, you name it on this little griddle. It fits perfect on a dual fual coleman camp stove and was a treat to use. One thing to note: since the camp stove has two different size burners one side gets much hotter than the other. If both burners on your stove have the same output then the griddle will heat evenly. No fault of the griddle, just be aware of what you are using it with. Love the product, considering buying another for our other stove.

Looked all over in stores for a griddle of this size (perfect for RV’s or boat stoves) I use it on our boat for almost all my stove top cooking (burgers, eggs, pancakes, toasted sandwiches, etc.) Even though it is pre-seasoned, I have found spraying it with a little olive oil works especially well for eggs.

I bought this griddle for my mother for Christmas because of its surface size. I didn’t see anything else this wide. My mother makes flour tortillas and this looked perfect. I also wanted something to grill on indoors. The day after Christmas, I gave it a quick light wash in soapy water, rinsed it well, and dried it. My mother made pancakes on it, which is always risky with new cast iron but they didn’t stick a bit!

The next day, I grilled chicken that had been marinating in a slightly sugary marinade all day. Even with the marinade, the chicken did not stick to the grill and they turned out absolutely beautiful.

I made hamburgers on it the next day. I just can’t stop using it. I love it! You’d think I bought it for myself.

I haven’t had any uneven heating issues, but I use it over an elongated center burner and I give it plenty of time to heat up all over before throwing my food on it.

Be ready to get a workout. It’s HEAVY. But, what do you expect from a cast iron griddle that is 12×20 inches? It’s a little too much for my 60+ year old mother to lift, but that’s mostly due to joint issues. Don’t be fooled though, she absolutely loves it and doesn’t mind a bit that I have to haul it out (and wash it) for her. ;)
