Bought the hooks with the pot rack that the seller also hand makes….. excellent rack, hooks, service and all!!

How do you heat an iron wire with electricity?
I saw my professor do it, and I want to demo it to my old high school. He basically hooked up an iron wire (piano wire, i think) to two electrodes, turned a dial, and the iron heated up from FCC iron (@ room temp) to BCC iron (volume expansion) to even iron Hooks hotter iron (in excess of 1000C). Am I correct to assume that a high current is what caused this?Additionally, how can I design this experiment to heat this bare iron wire without heating the building’s wires to such a significant extent? I assume I could use AC current (from the walls).[I assume that the dial was a simple potentiometer. With P = V^2/R, I would need a 1.4W potentiometer, which doesn't make sense]I also assume that the iron wire being heated must be of an incredibly small diameter (to increase resistance throughout the wire)Please correct my assumptions as necessary.

Nice hand made hooks at a great price. They are a little smaller than I thought they would be but are working fine as towel hooks. I also bought a TP holder, and two towel racks and they are very nice too!

Simple and quality, pure Amish. What a great deal. These would be triple the price in a normal retail store. Only negative….no nail or screw; but no big deal.

The rack is wonderful! It shipped fast, it’s excellent quality, and it looks fabulous in our kitchen. It was WAY cheaper than anything else of equal quality out there. Thank you for an excellent product!

I was pleasantly surprised by the good quality wrought iron and price of this item. I ordered the hooks as well as the bakers rack. The price when you go into the stores are much more than on this website. The product is very sturdy. I have already referred a few people to this website.

This is my 4th or 5th purchase of something handmade by the Amish and just like the other purchases, I could not be happier with the product. I got 6 of these small black wrought iron hooks to use on my pot rack, etc., they not only work extremely well but they are MUCH better looking than the Calphalon that came w/my pot rack. I found these hooks because I wanted extra hooks and was shocked to find out just how expensive the “name” brands, like Calphalon, really are!!! They cost about FIVE times more than these wonderful wrought iron hooks and the wrought iron hooks are about five times better looking than the more expensive!!!….now, that is a switch from the norm!

I highly recommend these hooks and will definitely purchase more when needed. You can check out other reviews I’ve made of the other wrought iron purchases, Amish made, here on Amazon – if you are interested.

Cheers.

Great for hanging coats and hats. We just ordered two more sets for curtain holdbacks for a cabin. Nicely made, and speedy service too.

This and other products from Eagle Emporium are little gems. They are simple, light-weight for wrought-iron, and very reasonably priced nice pieces. Delightful to find a good product not “Made in China”.

Talking about a bang for your buck, I searched hours for factory made items and nothing compares to the quality/price ratio of these Amish items. Fast delivery to boot. I’m happy to support the Amish anytime. Too bad they don’t have computers to be able to read this glowing review regarding their products.

If you like the look of wrought iron or need some strong hooks, these are for you! You supply your own screws (I lightly hammered my screws into a piece of wood and spray painted them black to match), and inserts if needed. I am hanging heavy pieces of cast iron from them in my kitchen – I used two pairs of pliers to twist each hook 90 degrees from the portion with the hole – as they are the perfect size for the handles.

I can’t find these kinds of hooks and racks for anything close to these prices, plus delivery from the Emporium is always expedient. Once again, perfectly simple… and handmade in the USA, hooray!
