I was very pleased with this planter and its height. I had no problems assembling any of the parts…ample screws and directions. I needed something tall, and this was just perfect. I used the cocoa fillers for each planter as directed, but instead of putting the soil and flowers directly into the cocoa form, I just put the potted plants inside – this will save me the cost of replacing the cocoa next year. Great product….thanks Amazon, you always have the best prices and greatest selections.

One of my walls is a built in book shelf also painted in bright white and my ceiling is a decorative semi-gloss Wrought iron decorative wall hangings white tin ceiling. My accent pieces are cherry wood. Although it looks good, it’s kind of cold. I want to create a space that makes me relax, not lay in bed and stare at all the brightness.Hope you can help.Also, there are 2 windows in the room. One is located in the middle of the book shelf wall with a river view. The other is opposite the foot of the bed facing a tree lined lawn with no houses in view. The reason I had picked the blue coloring was because of the river view, in addition to my sea shell collection. I’m looking for color and decorating ideas. Floors are hardwood with an area carpet. Window treatments are presently white venetian blinds with white sheers. I don’t want a bedspread that is a mirage of colors and patterns that would detract from the elegance of the wrought iron design.

The product does what it is supposed to, but was missing parts and the finial was rather flimsy. Fortunately the missing parts were bolts and nuts and I had some on hand that worked, but expect a product to have all the pieces.

I thought I was ordering a “Luster Leaf Link-Ups Obelisk 5-Foot With 3 Embossed Rings Black #930 Luster Leaf”. What I received was a “Luster Leaf Vertical Planter”. The three rings were actually 3 “baskets” (exactly the same as the ones that are part of the “Luster Leaf Link-Ups Hanging 3-Foot Vertical Garden Planter With 2 Baskets Black #939). I like the look of the planter (I’d rate it at 4-stars as a planter), so I’m keeping it but you should be warned that you’re not buying an Obelisk!

I purchased two of these in the 5 ft height. They were adequate and the embossed bands around them are heavy and nicely made. The uprights are sturdy enough. It went together simply enough . The problem arises when you order the 7.5 ft. one, which I also ordered. If you order this size, be prepared to make a trip to the hardware store. You will need to purchase some new bolts and nuts and washers if you are expecting this to hold together. The bolts that came were the same as the ones that came with the smaller obelisk. You will have barely a 1/32″ to attach the nut after you insert the bolt through the trellis. And there are no washers included which should have been at least with this size trellis as otherwise it is wobbly. I purchased washers that are metal with a rubber gasket to add some stability. Even with all this the legs are cut too small to go securely and snugly inside the upper leg they are attaching to. so it is still not properly stiffened up. However I am assuming that once it is inserted into the ground it will be OK. The price was cheap enough. But as I said be prepared to spend a few bucks more to get the proper hardware to put it all together. It was particularly annoying to have to make the trip to town to get the hardware. After all that is part of the benefit of shopping online is the convenience of not having to drive anywhere, and I live a long way out.

*sigh* Wish I’d seen this at a garden center first. It’s worth maybe half what it sells for–in quality of construction and materials. I have three bolts leftover…which is amusing, since according to the instructions, it requires 13 (7 shorts and 6 longs), the instructions CLAIM there are 2 total in the package (one of each), and there were actually 2 shorts and 14 longs altogether. And one of the top curved pieces was missing a hole. No extras of THOSE in the box. ;o) Quickly fixed with a drill.

Had it cost maybe $15 (about half what I paid), it would have been worth the trouble.

That said, it is a pretty, nice, though cheap(-ly made) plant support.
