We like this set a lot. The furniture is of great quality (not this thin and unstable wood that you can get at Wal-Mart for example). It looks wonderful, especially after it has been oiled. We had just a few minor issues (e.g. a wiggeling chair because one leg was too short) but after I was finally able to figure out how to contact their customer service, they were very responsive sending quickly a new element (and giving a partial refund for a mismatched wood piece on the also purchased wooden bench, which avoided the need to dismantle the bench that I had already put together). Overall, highly recommended piece of deck furniture. Being a (European) fan of wooden deck furniture as much more natural and more appealing than metal furniture, I don’t mind the need to treat the furniture after the winter. If you cover it during outside storage – even during the harsh and snowy winter in Upstate NY – oiling it is sufficient.

Do you use the term Rod Iron or Wrought Iron?
I am trying to buy a patio set on Craigs. It’s amazing, people are claiming to have Rod Iron patio sets.It is WROUGHT Wrought iron patio sets IRON, not rod iron. The iron is wrought into it’s functional shape.Jrbott – O.K. you got me Rod Iron does exists, but they say it’s used to make nails. It still sounds as if people are using the wrong term when it comes to patio furniture. Although, to get technical, none of it is wrought iron either, unless it’s old.

The product is just what we were looking for. Much heavier and sturdier than expected and the sink was an added plus. A couple of minor dings but it’s out on the Lanai so no issue. We love it!

I purchased a similar set of the Ewins redwood furniture. The only con is the color does fade quite quickly. I would invest in a $20 gallon of Thompsons water seal with a redwood tint spend a couple hours brushing it on and you will be pleased with this furniture for years and years.

I got this patio set because it had the ability to seat up to 8 people. I liked its classic lines and that it was made of wood and didn’t look like gimmicky patio furniture from your large, chain retailers.

It assembled fairly easily (at least as I observed hubby assembling…he didn’t mutter and grown too much). Spacious…we keep the extendor leaf in, even with only six chairs. Solid…we live in an area that can get very windy and blow things away pretty easily, and after several windy storms these chairs/table haven’t budged.

Cons: with the first rain the color dripped to the concrete patio and our patio now has a wood colored stain on it. We’ve had it set up for about a month now and have had a few good rains…the furniture is pretty washed out looking already. Fortunately this weathered look doesn’t bother me, but I wish the color were better sealed.

One last Con: we purchased a separate umbrella and the hole at the bottom to put the umbrella pole in its base was too small. Hubby had to spend some time shaving away some wood in the hole to make it big enough for the umbrella.

For the money, I’m very pleased.

I’m very happy with this set. It was delivered in excellent condition and was actually very easy to put together. The wood is beautiful and the furniture is well designed. I felt the wood was a little dry so I rubbed it down with teak oil which brought out the grain and warmed up the color while moisturizing the wood. It’s sturdy and comfortable. Although I felt it was a fair value I would have liked to pay a little less. However, I shopped around and this was a good deal for teak. The teak substitutes are heavy. I would definitely recommend this set.

We’re pretty disappointed with the set. It was missing hardware for one of the chairs, which took two weeks to get from the manufacturer (after several phonecalls). Part of the table cracked and fell off, and there are multiple spots where the wood is already starting to crack on the chairs and table. I would not buy this again.
