Lowe’s stores carry the item you are looking for. You will find them in the hardware section of the store. Measure the inside diameter of the leg in order that you can get the right size.Good luck with your search.

That is definitley not too many colors for a house. In the house we just sold we had a different color in every room and we had a very rustic looking homw and I got so many compliments. Also I love the colors you have selected. Hunter green is big this year. My only suggestion is that if you do darker colors in all the ajoining rooms make atleat one wall a focal wall and make it a lighter softer color because darker colors make your space look smaller than they are. Good luck.

Try chicken wire pulled very tight. You can see it too much. And get someone to help you use tough wire at the bottom and top of the rails, so it is not noticed.

If you post images of the actual space and must keep items on Flickr.com we can go over it with you in a more defined way then blanket suggestions. Also tell us what period and style your looking to achieve. A cool red would be fine on the blue washed bed. But I would use it sparingly and go with an embroidered or appliqued cream bed cover http://www.alenska.com/store/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image//w/h/white-bed-linen_1.jpg or a chenille spread and the red for accent pillows a throw and perhaps an easy chair if the room permits. An antique vanity would be wonderful. A smooth saffron yellow orange (think of the color of roasted potatoes) http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/5050/images/5050_MEDIUM.jpg would work nice with the colors you mentioned or a rich gold. http://victorialarsen.typepad.com/.a/6a00d83454388069e20120a59004fd970c-320wiI would use shutters on the windows and paint all the trim in black if it is not wood. From the sounds of it a country traditional flavor would look great. http://www.annesage.com/.a/6a00e55225716d88330120a65318fd970b-pi

You can find great things at dollar stores, junk stores, yard sales, Goodwill, etc. Also, try redoing stuff you already have. Go to the remnant section of a fabric store for cheaper fabric and just cover pillows you already have. Try to spend the money on the things that will make the most difference. Important stuff: bedspread, rug, window treatments. Have fun! Also, go shopping around the house. Sometimes changing the room something is in gives it a whole new personality!

try wraping some teflon tape around the threads and then screwing it together. You can also try an epoxy made for metal parts

Cats love the heat and are able to tolerate temperatures much higher than we can. My previous cat used to lay on a foot stool and lean up against the radiator. It would be too hot for me to touch with my bare hands, but she loved it and it was her favourite sleeping spot in the winter months, especially as she got older.I wouldn’t worry too much about your cat, she’s smart enough to move away from the fire if she gets too hot.

Choose A light neutral color (not white) for your walls ,paint out all the wood in the house except for the wood floors and if the wood trim is of A high quality refinish it to match the floors,if not paint it A lighter contrasting color to the wall color. If the wood wall panels have very pronounced grooves you could fill them with wood filler prior to painting although this is very time consuming. As for the dining room /entry In A home this size could there be another room or space adjacent to the kitchen that could become the new dining area? there by freeing the room by the front door to become an “entry hall” of sorts , A place to welcome guests . furnish with A hall tree with mirror for coats and hats, round table with flowers, possibly A small seatee. After you paint you will see your house in A different light ,thumb through some decorating sites or magazines see what style sparks your heart from there you should be able to pull it all together

Because your transom is decorative you should consider leaving it uncovered. In my own home, we wanted to hide our transom, because it is old and cracked, so we went all the way to the ceiling and hid it.A supplier of blinds, shades, and shutters. http://blindsfactorydirect.com

*Well the 3 2 1 part was a bit dorky for me.*”Plus he called me shorty” Plus is just used too much in too many books. Be unique, say something like, “In addition to his raspy chuckle he called me Shorty, which was his favorite nickname for me.”

wow, you already have great description, but i see that you use words over and over again. to make it more interesting by finding words that mean the same thing but are different. for example… you used covered twice in your first sentence. you could say…”Massive wrought iron gates draped with snow covered ivy guarded the ______ “also make sure you don’t have any sentence fragments like you do in the first sentence. the massive iron gates what? you need to have complete sentences.to find more descriptive words try this website…http://thesaurus.reference.com/ just type in a word… nice for example, and it’ll give you a bunch of other words that mean the same thing, like good and kind.hope that helps!

Your furniture is actually a good style because it goes with most anything. If you later decide to redo your interior, you don’t have to get new furniture. I would advise to perhaps make each room have a theme so you get a different atmosphere in each room. They always say that red makes you hungry so I wouldn’t put red in your living room. Green is a good color can be very inviting. In my experience, walking into a green room makes me feel happy. I would pick colors that contrast, but not to major extremes. I hope that this helps.

The golden yellow would certainly seem better as a mustard yellow in my opinion. I would do a red, a nice deep red in the living room. I LOVE reds as well as a dark orange. Make sure it is dark or else it won’t fit in with your color scheme. I think that since you like the Spanish look, beige definitely needs to go! Maybe even a dark plum color would work for you too!Good luck to you!

For resale neutral is good. But, you can paint the walls a nice soft color like sage green or gray blue and have it still be good for resale. Plus, you’ll enjoying living with it in the meantime. You need some contrast or it’s just too boring. I vote for a soft color on the walls.

I think that a vibrant orange or lemon yellow would make a good accent colour – 1 or 2 pillows and a glass bowl of the chosen citrus on the table.
