Antique brass?? Scratches to shiny white but also very heavy and not magnetic???
Hi,I have a pair of antique brass/marble electrified candelabra lamps dating 1960 and for which my dad paid a lot and I always thought that marble lamps Wrought iron lamps it was valuable. I read somewhere to do the scratch test and I was disappointed that it comes out shiny greyish white under the lacquer and continues to stay so. It is very heavy too and does not stick to a magnet. Can you please help make me make sense what metal it is without paying a fortune? Thanks for your help.In daylight, the scratch looks pale yellow but at night, looks more silvery whitish. Thanks for your responses.
