Has room at the bottom of the iron to wrap the cord around it without worrying that you are wrapping it around the heating source. Weird spring device for the cord is suppose to offer extra cord length but I could not figure this out or see the benefit as it only gave me an extra 2 inches of cord. Lots of steam. Very large capacity for water. Instructions say absolutely no distilled water and to only use tap water. Light. Ironing time seems to have decreased because I only pass over areas once instead of twice like before with my old (highly rated) iron. The red color is a deep red. No on/off switch- you must unplug it. The cord moves easily as you are ironing so that it is never in your way and you never have to think about it. The iron is very tall because of the extra length added at the bottom for you to wrap the cord around.

What size cast iron skillet would you recommend for a novice cook?
This will be my first cast iron skillet. I will be purchasing iron Toboso a Lodge Cast Iron Skillet made in the USA. Just not sure of size/type. Which is the most universal?Lodge brand comes seasoned.By novice I mean I can cook basic homecooked foods. I have been cooking for years. I guess I should have said intermediate.

I purchased this iron 10 months ago and have used it only on four trips overseas; the non stick coating on the sole plate is now begining to peel off at the edges. The surface is rough so I can not iron anything in fear of tearing the fabric — the manufacturer has agreed to replace the iron, but I have to pay for shipping. What a bummer! Marginally worth the postage for a replacement. Will the new iron last for one year ??

Got it for my wife. So she could Iron the babies clothes. It works fine for that. That’s after you let it get hot, it takes a while to get hot. But works ok for little baby clothes.

I’m glad I had the Steam Iron with me while I was on my cruise, it really ironed

my clothes, as if I had use the iron I have at home. I recommend this iron to my

friends it really works. I gets hot fast and it lets out a strong steam.

Excellent product. Just what I needed for quilting classes and workshops. Small, compact, yet gets extremely hot and has good steam flow. Would recommend.

I leave the iron plugged in 24/7 because the outlet is hard to reach. Dial is hard to read. Also, hard to tell when iron is on or off unless you feel it. It does not turn on when you turn the dial on. You have to lay it down like your going to iron for it to start heating up. And the handle stays warm even though the dial is turned off…

Shipping of this item was quite fast, even using free shipping by Amazon.

Regarding the iron itself, I like it very well so far but have only used it a couple of times. After researching current irons, I thought I would try this one based on features, reviews, and price. Greatest feature as far as I am concerned is the retractable cord which works great for my built in ironing cabinet. I like the size and weight of the iron. It glides nicely on all fabrics and I like the no steam/steam only/burst of steam options.

My only suggestions and reasons for the 4 star rating would be the location of the heat dial which is awkward to see and use. There also seems to be an extensive list of instructions that seem impractical if you are used to just plugging it in (not turning it off/emptying out the reservoir, etc.). I could also see if you were crafter or sewer that the auto turn off might be a problem. I don’t think I would recommend this iron for someone needing a professional type iron like a Rowenta.

I would definitely recommend this iron for the “casual iron user” like myself who touches up clothing. I think for the price, it’s an iron hard to beat if it lasts and holds up over time.

I had initially used 2 of the 15~25$ black n decker’s and both gave out in about an year. I wanted to buy something that will last and give a quality finish. This certainly does the job, good build, nice quality and good ergonomic design. Minimal but most required functions, clean layout, durable material and a dependable brand name. Steam is impressive and this does what it claims.
