First shipment arrived broken, but Amazon quickly fixed and the bowl is lovely. Looks very classy, and gets better and more antique-y looking with use.

I ordered this item as a Christmas gift for my husband. Unfortunately, it was delivered with a picture of the product on the side. Since my husband got to the UPS delivery before I did, he already knows what his gift is. Don’t order this as a surprise unless your gift recipient doesn’t live with you!

Pros:
Once assembled the bowl and legs are very sturdy. The bowl handles a decent fire. It has a simple, clean design. The bowl isn’t fixed to the legs so it can be easily removed to empty ashes. The bowl is adequately deep. Assembly is straight forward.

Cons:
The legs aren’t machined well meaning it might take some muscle to get the base assembled square. The bowl has a poorly applied copper finish. It looks like thick paint put on with a cheap brush. I missed the word “finish” and thought I was getting a copper bowl. Bummer. The cover is thin, doesn’t fit flush with the bowl and bends easily. The bowl and cover rust at the first sign of humidity.

I bought this fire pit about 5 months ago and it’s awesome. It’s very stable and weather resistant. I left it out with no cover and just flipped the bowl over and it’s held up really well.

UPDATE Had for over a year, held up fairly good. It does rust if not covered and left in rain, but that seems like a normal happening, overall good buy.

The product arrived in good condition, thanks to excellent packaging. UPS was obviously practicing for the World Cup with this package. Assembly was a breeze. The fire bowl looks great, but the copper finish discolors once you use it. I expected that; so it is OK with me. I would recommend this to others.

My husband and I cook all the time, so something like this was a must have. And as with all Lodge products we’ve purchased before, it is relatively cheap price wise, but it’s extremely durable and well-made. We liked ours so much that we purchased one for my grandmother for Christmas, and she loves it.

How do you review this obvious utensil? It’s a splatter screen. The best part is, it’s stainless steel. I had an aluminum screen and I got a lecture from my organic girl friend. It works fine, has a long handle, and is easy to clean.

I was very happy with this splatter screen. It was very well made and well worth the price. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Our old splatter screen had to be replaced because the mesh wire separated from the hoop after a few uses. This one seems sturdy and secure so far. The only downside is that the handle is metal and sometimes gets to hot to touch. Overall good.

I placed my order early in June because we were just finishing our pool and were purchasing a large amount of chaise lounges, adarondak chairs, umbrellas, cushions, lumbar pillows, outdoor rug, dining tables, chairs, benches and a fire pit. We were planning a big function in the end of june and another one the second week in July. All the furniture came in(the pit was the only item order from Amazon) except my pit. I kept checking for shipping info, when I finally got “this item has not shipped yet” it was too late to get elsewhere. This was my first experience ordering from amazon except for books and I will not do it again. I was not told from the beginning that it was not in stock, I was told it would be shipped. I made my selection and marked it off my list considering it done. I do not see how amazon can waste your time selling you something they do not even have to sell. What a rip off.

I placed an order for this item on June 5th. It is now July 7th (over a month later), and the item still hasn’t shipped. I just received an e-mail stating that it wouldn’t ship for at least 3 more weeks. If you actually want to receive your item, then don’t place an order for this one.

Ordered from Amazon on June 11. They said it would ship July 6 to July 14. On July 14 I got an email saying that the order was delayed but with no updated shipping information. Got an email on July 16 telling me that Amazon was canceling the order because they can’t get the item anymore, but suggested that I try one of the other sites connected to them. If they can’t get it, I’m not sure why I should try one of their related sites for almost $200.00 more. Is the product good? Who could tell?

This fireplace screen was a definite upgrade to our living room. It looks incredible with or without a fire. It showcases your fire very well too!

I was getting so tired of fighting the built-in screen that you slide to open and close. Besides the fact that they get hot, they ten not to slide well and the wires get bent and hook on each other causing the screens to not fully close. The fireplace screen solved that problem so now we can enjoy the fire even more.

every single item I ever bought from Lodge was either excellent or more than satisfactory in quality, you can order from them with your eyes closed and you will never go wrong. This product is no exception. I also bought 13 inch splatter screen. Splatter screens are a must in your kitchen to protect your hands and more importantly- your eyes.

As advertised, this item works very well against splatters. Also, has durable, sturdy design. Sits well on pan & you can clean it in a snap with hot water & dish detergent. However, one knock is, one time when I was using this item I, apparently, turned the fire on an adjacent pilot too high, which scorched the screen’s edge. So be careful.

I originally purchased the AMCO splatter screen recommended by Cook’s, but it only comes in one size (13″) and it is too unwieldy for our kitchen – we don’t have pans that big, nor is our stovetop very expansive. The AMCO mesh is quite a bit finer than the Lodge screen, and so the Lodge doesn’t control splatter as well. But the size works better for us, so we’re compromising. If you have room, I’d recommend the AMCO.
