Secrets on iron Fireplace

I do like the design and size. It’s a bit smaller then my last one but that’s okay. Anything made in China is typically crap, but for a firepit, no big deal. The holes for the tubular frame that the base sits into did not line up, forcing me to modify it so they line up properly to use the screws provided. The powder coating paint they use on the screen is bare minimal. After one rainfall and forgetting to put the cover back on, it started showing rust already. So I HIGHLY suggest using the cover! Speaking of which, the cover is really an over glorified double lined plastic garbage bag, so always be careful sliding it over the pit, it rips easily! The base itself is heavy to be sure, so it won’t rust for years, being cast iron and all. The other thing I’m not crazy about is cleaning out the ashes. There is triangular rods that cover the intake air holes at the base of the cast iron that are welded on……….well………some of them are welded…..lol. They get in the way of using

What color should I paint my living room with tan furniture and red accents?
I also have tan carpet. I want to add color to the walls. I only have end tables iron Fireplace that are wood grain with rod iron legs. Our fireplace molding and mantle are a off white. I have red curtains, red pillows and red rug. Please Help!!!My furniture is a light tan with red accent pillows. I have red curtains hanging. My walls are already a light tan too. I want out of these tan walls!!!!

This fireplace screen was a definite upgrade to our living room. It looks incredible with or without a fire. It showcases your fire very well too!

I was getting so tired of fighting the built-in screen that you slide to open and close. Besides the fact that they get hot, they ten not to slide well and the wires get bent and hook on each other causing the screens to not fully close. The fireplace screen solved that problem so now we can enjoy the fire even more.

This is a replacement for one I bought 3 years ago and that wore out over time as a result of frequent use. No complaints there. The new one however shows signs of diminished quality in production, obviously as a result of wanting to increase profit margins by skimping on material. The legs on this puppy are nothing but hollow tubes as opposed to the sturdy solid legs of previous models. I can tell that before a year is up, I’ll have to have the firebox sitting on cinder blocks because the legs will have rotted out. To add insult to injury they sent a “cover”. Imagine attempting to put a sheer pair of nylons on a cactus. Now you have an idea of how flimsy this cover is. It virtually tears upon unfolding it. It’s as thin as Saran wrap. The corners of the fireplace easily tear the “cover” (I can’t even bear to call it that). By the way, I paid about 30% more than three years ago, for a product that has obviously undergone diminished production quality. By the way, although the screens are gone from the old one, my son sanded and painted it and he now has it on his patio. I have the new one, but he got the better deal.
